There will soon be a new political thriller series on Netflix. The Night Agent, a television series based on Matthew Quirk’s 2019 novel of the same name, tells the tale of a low-ranking FBI agent who is forced to endure his dull office life at the White House. But one day he receives an emergency call that drags him into a perilous scheme.

Netflix Announces The Night Agent Release Date with Official Teaser
In the teaser, Peter makes a crucial call on the White House basement office’s emergency line, which prompts the authorities to take immediate action. A tech CEO named Rose is seen with the agent as they appear to be in danger together. “This reaches deeper than you understand and farther than you can conceive,” the voiceover continues.
On March 23, the show will make its Netflix debut. To explore the depths of the conspiracy, Peter is seen juggling between his office and the field in the first-look pictures. The remaining officials can be seen getting ready for a hazardous situation. In one of the pictures, Peter can also be seen holding a rifle.

The protagonist of Matthew Quirk’s novel Night Agent is Peter, who is tasked with watching over an emergency phone that never rings. But it only rings once, causing chaos in the Oval Office. The CEO of a corporation, Rose, is then given the assignment of assisting Peter because her life is in danger due to the murder of her aunt and uncle.

In a Twitter thread he started in 2020, Shawn Ryan, who is adapting the book for television, placed The Night Agent under the heading “Books I Read, Decided To Adapt For Television, And May Have Already Finished Writing The Pilot Episode.”
