Outer Banks Season 3: Release Date, Trailer, Cast, and Everything to Know

The third season of Outer Banks is coming up quickly, and Netflix has just released the show’s official trailer to get people even more excited. In the last season’s finale, it looked like the Pogues’ situation was getting better, but the new trailer makes it look like they are still in trouble.

The children will be on a newly discovered island, which at first seemed like an idyllic home, during the third season’s 10 episodes. However, things quickly begin to change, placing the gang in danger. Continue reading to see the brand-new trailer and learn more about the following season.

Outer Banks Season 3 Shows the Pogues Held at Gunpoint

The season’s plot is not much discussed in the trailer, although it does depict the Pogues living freely on the island of Poguelandia, where they fish, swim, and generally have a good time. They soon get entangled in another treasure hunt, which causes complications.

The group is then seen escaping death. They got into fights while being held at gunpoint at one point. As John B. and Sarah’s fathers make a comeback to the show, the forthcoming season will also concentrate on the characters’ interpersonal interactions and family difficulties. The third season of Outer Banks will debut on Netflix on February 23. The trailer is below.

More About the Upcoming Season

The season 3 synopsis for The Pogues, which was also released by Netflix, begins, “After losing the gold and escaping the Outer Banks, Season 3 finds the Pogues washed ashore on a barren island that, for a fleeting moment, appears like a perfect home.”

The island’s newest occupants, officially known as “Poguelanders,” spend their days swimming and enjoying the carefree lifestyle of their temporary home. However, when John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo are once again involved in a race for the riches, they find themselves in danger and must literally flee for their lives.
They can’t trust anyone; they’re poor and far from home; Ward and Rafe are out for blood; and there’s a cruel Caribbean Don out to collect the bounty. Were they ever able to reach the treasure? Or was it a set-up to finally catch them? In either case, the Pogues are up against the world, and working together is the only way to win.

Outer Banks Season 3 spoilers

Elizabeth Mitchell, who portrays the cunning Carla Limbrey in the series, hinted at further developments for her character in an interview with Metacritic. “I do get to spend a lot of time with Big John (Charles Halford), which is wonderful because he’s great,” Mitchell remarked. Since Big John promised Limbrey he would help her uncover the shroud with his healing abilities if she consented to help his son John B, the final sequence of Outer Banks Season 2 suggested this relationship. They definitely spend a lot of time together, especially in the first section, though I’m not sure if you’d call that “teaming up.” Obviously, Limbrey has shown that she cannot be trusted after killing her half-brother in Season 2. “Let’s just say that I’m not sure if Limbrey is a true team player,” Mitchell remarked.

What happened in Outer Banks Season 2?

Similar to Season 1, Outer Banks Season 2 concluded with the Pogues experiencing a close call with death. The second season of the Netflix series focused a lot of attention on John B., Sarah, J.J., Kiara, and the Pope as they searched for and tried to recover the stolen Cross of Santo Domingo. In the season finale, the crew sneaked onto the Coastal Venture and made an effort to seize the cross. After a wild shootout, they were defeated and fled on a lifeboat. The Pogues celebrated being together and in safety—for the time being—even though they once again went empty-handed.
